Lovenia Lewis Obituary
Beloved mother of Andrea Lewis-Kirby (Varnell) and grandmother of Malcolm and Vanessa. Born to Luther and Mary Lewis on September 28, 1956 who preceded her in death. She is the beloved sister of Jerry (Wilma) Lewis, Geraldine (David) King, Robert (Delores) Waring, Michael McCullum. She is the cherished Aunt of Shariff Lewis and Jamilah (Tshombe) Smith.
Lovenia was told by her mother early in life that she would be a life student and that statement became true. She obtained several degrees, including her obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree of Emory University (1990). Her passion for education led her to organize a literacy programs in an urban community in Atlanta, GA. She assisted in opening a medical clinic prior to moving to Michigan. In Michigan, Lovenia attended the Word of Faith bible training program and became a more dedicated and faithful servant of the word of God. Lovenia traveled the country as a nurse where she was able to do two of the things she loved to do, traveling and teaching. Lovenia's love of education and faithful heart lead her to open one of the first hemodialysis training centers in Michigan, A Change for Life, LLC.
Her loving heart, faithful spirit and fearlessness touched so many lives will be missed by many.
