June was born in Detroit, Michigan to Eugene Penzien and Esther Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband Edsel George Haag, daughters Rosemary and Peggy Haag, and siblings Alice and Tony Penzien.
She is survived by her daughters Carol Duffer, Esther Jackson, Helen Edgerton, and sons Edsel (Butch), Robert, James, Lee, Phil, and Steven; her grand children Maria, Laura, Rachel, Johanna, Ryan, Amber, Tonya, Zachary, Carol Lynn, Clayton, Jimmy and Kortney; and 12 great grand children.
June in later years had fond memories of her family and her contribution to WWII as a drill press operator. She worked briefly at Control Data. She greatly appreciated her sons Bobby and Jimmy for caring for her in her later years. She sang with the Sweet Adeline's.
June was a very generous mother and grandmother, especially raising her beloved granddaughter Maria. She loved deeply and wished love, joy, and peace for all.
The greatest gift anyone can give in her memory is paying forward her kindness and joy in this world. June loved the Lord and raised her children with Edsel in the Lutheran Church.
A memorial celebration of her life will be on Friday November 1st, 2019 4:00-6:00 PM in the chapel at the Cristopher Ross Funeral Home in Roseville, Michigan.
