Jean I. Ehrichs (Burd) 92, died Friday, November 17, 2017 at Advantage Living Center in Roseville, MI. Jean was born September 20, 1925 to Lynn and Ethel Burd on her parent's farm in Hubbard Township, MN.
After graduating high school in Climax, MN, she got a job working in the bakery in a neighboring town, Halstad, MN. This is where she met a young farm boy named Leonard Ehrichs, better known as "Legs". They fell in love and married January 5, 1946.
They moved to his parent's farm on the North Dakota side of the Red River, across the river from Halstad. There they were blessed with two daughters, MariLynn and Maureen. Here they raised their girls.
Jean was a very talented and creative lady. After the girls were grown and out on their own, she took oil painting classes to go with all the other things she made with sewing and crafts. She was quite the artist. Her gifts will be greatly missed.
Her other gift was working very hard to take care of her family as it grew and many friends along the way.
Surviving Jean is her family: MariLynn (Tim) Jacobs, Roseville, MI; son-in-law Bill Schwab, Stillwater, MN. Grandchildren: Douglas (Kelly) Jacobs, Warren, MI; Wayne (Jamie) Jacobs, Roseville, MI; Martin (Mindy) Jacobs, Fraser, MI; Travis (Leah) Schwab, Lakeland, MN; Kris (Eric) Chryst, Pine City, MN; Tricia (Scott) Tierney, Stillwater, MN. Great grandchildren: Steven, Jason, Andrew, Jessica, Kristina, Justin, Nicholas, Breanna, Sam, Addie, Logan, Mikayla, Madi, Sister-in-law, Marjorie Burd, Halstad, MN; and all her many nieces, nephews and friends.
